Awana Dinner

Gathering together in fellowship, setting aside our schoolwork and enjoying (SO MUCH) food and wonderful conversation.

The animated stories of the situations and struggles of being international students. The necessity of going to the Writing Center. Being proud of how much they've come, but unsatisfied that it is not quite enough.

The gentle voice of wisdom from a Nepalese missionary wife, reminding the ladies that as we pray for our children to marry good spouses, we must raise them to be equally of good character... by setting that example ourselves.

Conversations of pastors discussing God's plan and will, particularly relevant as they finish their respective degrees, move on & away from here.

The stories of a busy mother of four, raising her children, marveling at how different they are from each other, but loving them all so much.

Seeing so many different people come together, people that normally wouldn't be together, and truly have such an enjoyable night.

Being truly thankful.
Thankful for how God has blessed me. Thankful for the life/situations I am experiencing now.

Though we are all connected through school (& thus church), we come from such different backgrounds and live very different lives.
But all knit together as we do ministry, seek God in church & school.
The Body of Christ certainly is diverse, so rich, and quite beautiful.
