It is indeed summer (although technically, it's not summer yet...). It was like death outside walking back from class today, but now it is thunderstorming as if there's not tomorrow.
Rain is very peaceful to me, even when there's thunder & lightning. Sometimes it comes in soft droplets while sometimes it comes in driving sheets. Sometimes it lingers, while sometimes, it goes and quickly as it came. Regardless, I love watching the way it pitter-patters onto the ground, the puddles that form and how afterwards, it's calm & cool. The lights just flickered! Ahh the sound of rain. The shhhhh noise of rain is soothing, the thunder & lightning so exciting. Rain is so organic, comes & goes as it pleases, with nothing stopping it from doing what it wants. Always makes me wanna listen to Michael Buble- haha.
Ooh, I love rain!
Today was the 1st day of summer school. It's definitely gonna be a challenging class, but I think PLCP 324A- Post-Soviet Challenges is gonna be a very worthwhile course to take. The professor grew up in Georgia (the country not the state) during the Soviet Republic, so his insight is so much more than an American's perspective of the Soviet/Post-Soviet times. I love learning about this kinda stuff :D (Except the reading is killing me already T_T)
I've already learned some good lessons this summer. Stuff I already learned in my head, but had yet to penetrate the heart. I'm definitely going to be more understanding of people, more forward if I have a problem (and not try to ignore it), and not let "people walk all over me", as Clarissa say I do sometimes -___- haha. It's weird. I feel as if I have a pretty strong personality, but in dealing with conflict, I go away from it as much as possible. That's definitely a problem. Of course this doesn't mean that I'm going to go and instigate problems, but I am going to become a better communicator, and through that, I'll be able to become a better person.
Shoutout to Nora who is in VALENCIA. LOVE YOU.
